Who We Are--Our Pastor & Staff
Pastor John Schenck
Led by his parents to a relationship with God at an early age, Pastor John continues to keep God at the center of his life. After years of active participation in his home church ministry, John saw God expand his opportunities to include prison, nursing home, music, and radio ministries. Later, answering God's call, he first attended Eastern School of Christian Ministry and, more recently, completed his studies at the Awakening School of Theology. Ongoing subsequent coursework continues to help him with his thirst to draw ever closer to--and to know more about--the God he loves. For Pastor John, Maranatha Baptist Fellowship and the outstanding people God has brought together here are living examples of His faithful promises.

Bill Devine
Moderator
As a member of Maranatha Baptist Fellowship since 2005, Bill previously served on the Church Council as Secretary and then Treasurer. He now serves as our Church Moderator. As someone who has taken to heart the message of 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV), Bill delights in conversation from knowledge provided by the Word of God and enjoys fellowship with good will for all people.

Steve Heiss
Worship Leader
With experience leading Bible studies and nursing home services and narrating various Christian productions--and with his longtime involvement singing in choirs, on church worship teams, solo, and the bass part in a Christian men's barbershop quartet--Steve now serves as our church Worship Leader. So thankful for eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, Steve loves the Lord and His Word and desires to see the lost saved.

Catherine Barrier

A college composition and ESL instructor, Catherine has also worked as an editor and marketer in Christian book publishing, as a translator, and, over the years, as a journalist for a number of smaller newspapers. She loves the Lord Jesus Christ and, having seen His power and provision in so many ways--and so many situations--for decades, she is thankful and knows her life is in His hands.
